Assistant City Manager

Nate Rockwood is a seasoned leader with a passion for creating beautiful and impactful spaces and helping communities thrive. Nate served as Midvale City's Community Development Director from 2020 to 2022 and was appointed as Assistant City Manager in August 2022. A problem solver and visionary by nature, he's overseen many successful projects, including the expansion of city arts programs, the development of new development finance programs, and the revitalization of Main Street.  

Prior to working at Midvale City, Nate was employed by Park City for 12 years where he created or managed multi-million-dollar projects and programs including, the development of the Park City Arts and Cultural District, the revolving finance plan for affordable housing, strategic land acquisition, and the $450 million 5-year capital improvement plan.

In 2016, Nate was selected by The International City Managers Association (ICMA) to participate in a two-year leadership program. The program included intense training and lectures on city management, community strategies, and staff motivation. As part of a three-person team, he provided recommendations to the management of an east coast city on how to improve its organizational culture.
