Utility Billing - Payment Options

Online Payment
Online Bill Pay
  • Online Payment Convenience: Through our partnership with Xpress Bill Pay, you have the flexibility to conveniently make monthly payments online or establish automatic deductions from your credit, debit, or checking account.
  • Email Billing and Receipts: This service also offers the option to receive your monthly bills and payment receipts via email, enhancing your convenience.
  • Setting Up Xpress Bill Pay: Upon starting utility services with Midvale City, you will receive an email with instructions on how to set up your Xpress Bill Pay account.

Phone Payments
Utility payments can be made by phone 801-567-7200, option #1 during business hours. There is a $3.00 fee to pay by phone.
Payment in Person
Utility payments can be made by card, cash, or check at the Midvale City Utility Billing Department, 7505 S Holden Street, 1st floor during regular business hours.
Payment Drop Box
For your convenience, a Payment Drop Box is located directly across from the front entrance of Midvale City Hall, near the parking area. Payments are not collected on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. Cash payments or delinquent payments should not be placed in drop boxes.


Automated Clearing House or ACH Payments

To set up an automatic debit from your bank account, kindly fill out the ACH Authorization for Midvale City Utilities Form (ACH form) and include a voided check. You can complete this process either in person or by mail.

Mail in Payment

You have the option to send your utility bill payment to the Utility Billing Department by mail. Please allow sufficient time for the postal service to deliver your payment before the due date.

Equal Pay Plan
Enrolling in the Equal Pay program is a convenient way to manage your expenses by spreading your annual payments for specific services over the course of a year. Please follow the steps below to enroll in the Equal Pay program, which is open annually during the month of November.

Step 1
Read the Equal Pay Terms and Conditions and Equal Pay Frequently Asked Questions to determine if you qualify.

Step 2
If you qualify, you can complete the Equal Pay Plan Application during the month of November. Applications are only accepted November 1 through November 30 each year.
  • Fill out the form with accurate and complete information.
  • Ensure you provide all the necessary details, including your name, contact information, account number, and Email address.
Step 3
Once we receive your Equal Payment Plan Form, our team will process your enrollment. You will receive an email confirmation of your enrollment in the Equal Pay program. This email will include the following details:
  1. Confirmation of your enrollment in the program.
  2. The services included in your Equal Pay plan.
  3. The annual Equal Pay amount calculated based on your selected services.

Step 4
Your Equal Pay plan will officially begin in January.
