Request a Building Inspection

All new construction, additions, basement finishes, remodeling, siding, re-roofs, window replacement, water heater replacement, and furnace replacement require a building permit and building inspections. Having a building permit and inspection ensures compliance with safety standards, verifies that the structure aligns with approved plans, and offers proof to insurance companies that the work was authorized and met safety requirements.
  • Building inspections are conducted between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with the exception of footing and foundation inspections, which may request a specific time slot.
  • Inspection requests can be submitted online between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance (inspection requests submitted after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday will be processed the following Monday).
  • To schedule an inspection, you will need the permit number, address, and the type of inspection required. Only the general contractor on record should schedule inspections.
  • An initial email confirms receipt of your inspection request, followed by a secondary confirmation once the inspection is scheduled.
